After washing and sorting, apples are peeled and cut in any shape: segments, rings, dices, strips etc.
On the supervisory line, parts with possible flaws are removed.
After the quality control, the parts are dipped into selected antioxidants (vitamin C, citric acid or sulphur if desired). Apples are transferred to the conveyer drier. Modern steering mechanism enables accurate setting the drying conditions for each specific item. Temperature, line speed and air circulation can be adjusted.
It should be mentioned that due to optimal drying process and time conditions, there is no need for stronger preservation with antioxidants. This fact has also been confirmed by analysis made.
The products are stored in an appropriately cooled and dry place until packaging. Packaging is carried out on an accurate multihead dosing system and continues on an automatic packaging machine which forms single packages or pillows. Packages go through the metal detector which rejects packages with possibly unsuitable content.
Afterwards, the packages which fall short of set weight are rejected on a precise controlling weigher.
Packed items are put into cardboard boxes which are stored in suitable warehouses
